Support Ligure Scholars, Inc. and enter to win two fully paid seats on the Ligure Club’s June 2026 Italy adventure—valued at over $15,000. The trip includes airfare, hotels, wine tastings, cultural tours, and culinary experiences across Lake Como, Turin, Cinque Terre, Verona, and Bologna.
Only 500 tickets will be sold. All proceeds benefit Ligure Scholars, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3), making your entry tax-deductible.
If we don’t reach 24 total travelers, the prize will automatically convert to a $1,500 cash reward—so you win big either way.
This is not an official Ligure Club–sponsored trip. It is a private tour hosted by two Ligure Club members—Matthew Moglia and John Carter—and offered exclusively to Club members and their guests.
All planning, coordination, and hosting are being managed independently by the trip organizers. The Club holds no financial or logistical responsibility for the tour.
This trip is also a fundraiser for Ligure Scholars, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3). Neither the hosts nor the Club are earning any profit from the trip itself—this is a fully volunteer-led initiative in support of our shared community and culture.
No—while the trip is offered through the Club, members are welcome to invite a spouse, family member, or friend. All travelers must be 18 or older.

Yes. EF Go Ahead Tours offers optional travel protection packages that can be added during the sign-up process. There are two plans available:
The cost of insurance is non-refundable. You’ll see all available options and coverage details when booking your trip through EF.

No problem. You can join the interest list and speak with host John Carter before making a decision. There’s no obligation until you formally enroll through the EF Go Ahead Tours site.
If you’ve already paid for the trip and win the raffle, you’ll have the option to gift or transfer the prize to someone else.
If you’d prefer a refund, that may be possible—but it depends on EF Go Ahead Tours’ cancellation policy:
This trip involves a moderate level of physical activity. Travelers should be comfortable walking 2–3 miles per day, often on uneven cobblestone streets, hills, and stairs. While the pace is relaxed and there will be breaks, this tour is not well-suited for those with significant mobility challenges or who require mobility aids.
Participants must be able to get on and off buses independently and keep up with small group walking tours. If you’re unsure whether this trip is a good fit for you, we recommend reaching out to John Carter for a candid conversation before signing up.
Yes! This trip is open to Club members and their invited guests. The maximum group size is 32.
Tickets are $50 each or 3 for $100. The winner receives a free trip for two (or $1,500 cash if fewer than 24 travelers enroll). The drawing will be held at the 2025 Christmas Dinner. All proceeds benefit Ligure Scholars, Inc.
Round-trip airfare, 11 nights in handpicked hotels, guided tours, daily breakfast, select lunches and dinners, wine tastings, a cooking class, and more. Some meals (8 lunches, 7 dinners) are not included.
If the minimum of 24 travelers isn’t met, the raffle prize will default to a $1,500 cash reward. The trip itself may still run if a smaller group is willing to participate at the adjusted group rate.
